Health Day 2009
Letter from guest Ronald Johnson
The day of the health fair to me, had to be one of the most spectacular events that I have ever seen or attended in my whole entire life. Growing up in Mississippi I just never experienced such an event.
When everyone started talking about there was going to be a health fair, I just figured that I would just be going to a place where everyone gets there blood pressure checked and eat. Boy! Was I ever wrong. I mean there were people checking your blood pressure, but I never expected to be fully checked out by a real doctor.
I never expected to see such an out pouring of love and kindness. I met so many beautiful Christian people who genuinely care about homeless people and homelessness around Atlanta and the world. People were receiving blessings of food, clothing, shoes, I even saw some people getting their toes done. And in the middle of all that loving and giving, it was pouring down raining.
But I can honestly say that I know the spirit of God was centered right in the middle of this blessed event. I just want to thank God for allowing me to experience such an event. And for the people that worked so hard and long to make that event a success, all I can do is say thank you and God Bless You.
